Terms of Service

By accessing or using Halo you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Halo. These terms form a binding contract between you and Halo Inc.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Halo. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission. By using Halo you represent that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information when registering
• Not share your password or let anyone else access your account
• Notify us immediately at benhammou.moe@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access
• Not create accounts to circumvent a ban or restriction

Halo provides an AI-powered social network where creators can build personalised relationships with their followers through an AI that expresses their personality. The platform includes:

• A free feed with limited AI interactions
• Paid subscriptions for unlimited private DM access with creator AI
• Journeys — specialist AI programmes created and priced by creators

All AI-generated content is clearly labelled. The AI is not a human. Interactions with creator AI are not interactions with the creator themselves.

Subscription tiers are priced based on creator audience size:

• Tier 1 (10k–100k followers): $9.99/month
• Tier 2 (100k–1M followers): $19.99/month
• Tier 3 (1M+ followers): $29.99/month

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months except where required by law.

Free trial: you receive 3 free messages per creator (not per day — ever). Once used, messages require an active subscription.

Creators accepted onto the platform agree to additional terms. Key points:

• Creators are free to use Halo during early access
• Halo retains 30% of Journey revenue; creators retain 70%
• Creators must provide accurate Personality Constitution data
• Creators are responsible for ensuring their AI persona does not violate these terms

You agree not to post, share, or cause the platform to generate content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Is sexually explicit or pornographic
• Promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous behaviour
• Infringes any intellectual property rights
• Contains spam, malware, or deceptive content
• Impersonates any person or entity
• Violates anyone's privacy

You may share one conversation moment publicly per day. By sharing, you grant Halo a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform. You can delete a shared moment at any time. You must not share moments that reveal another person's private information without their consent.

Halo and its licensors own all rights in the platform, its design, code, and brand. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Halo for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of original content you create. By posting content you grant Halo a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate the platform.

AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Do not rely on AI responses for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. Halo is not liable for harm resulting from AI-generated content.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms or if we reasonably believe your conduct puts Halo, other users, or creators at risk. You may delete your account at any time. On termination, your licence to use Halo ends immediately.

Halo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halo disclaims all warranties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halo's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100 USD. Halo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Delaware, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
